Te Horo, Kāpiti Coast

Situated at the heart of Te Horo, the iconic Te Horo Hall has stood as a cornerstone of local life for over 110 years, serving as a place for laughter, learning, and celebration. Upon hearing about the community’s efforts to raise funds to save this historic building, CC&A jumped at the chance to help preserve this symbol of enduring spirit.

Drawing on our extensive experience in Seismic Strengthening, we worked alongside partner engineers and heritage experts to bring the hall up to the required 67% NBS standard. This included pouring 47+ tons of concrete into new foundations before installing reinforced steel portals throughout.

Renovations also restored the original hall tongue and groove lining, added a new kitchen, and a fresh coat of paint. Phase 2 will see the exterior reclad and the roof replaced, ensuring the building remains a safe, vibrant space for years to come.
