Situated in Waikanae, within sight of the Hemi Matenga hills and Kāpiti Island, the new award-winning Toi MAHARA Gallery is a beautifully rejuvenated build and something of cultural importance to the local community and wider region.

Taking the tired bones of an austere gallery space originally designed as a 70’s post office, Crowe Construction & Associates replaced the roof and walls of the space, restructuring the interior footprint to create a museum-standard space that doubles the number of galleries and almost triples the exhibition space of the original building. 

Picking up a Gold Award at the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards, the build conforms to Crowe Construction’s mission of elevating Aotearoa's public spaces whilst inspiring passion and confidence in our national infrastructure.
